AKC Temperament Test

We host AKC Temperament Test events in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Our AKC Temperament Tests

We aim to remove the sitting around and cutthroat nature that too many dog events have.

After you sign up, you'll receive your 1 hour run-time window. You only need to be present for this time (no need to sit around all day — unless you want to!)

If you have any questions or concerns, please text Hannah 801.503.8352. We are happy to talk you through any concerns. We know dog sports can be daunting and confusing to get into.

Run Times

Each 1 hour run-time window will host up to 25 dogs. Arrive at your start time and wait in line.

You must pass the test TWICE for the ATT Title.  Run through the test once then hop back in line to get your second test.

If your dog does not pass, you can get in line a third time. Every test must be with a different judge. We will have 3 judges.

AKC Host Club

The Bulldog Club of Utah has graciously offered to host the Temperament Test for The Underdog.

Thank you!

AKC Temperament Test

The ATT tests how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, biddable and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time.

Undesirable traits are fear, shyness, lack of cooperation and an inability to recover from unfamiliar or unexpected situations. Examples of undesirable behaviors include being afraid of friendly strangers or unfamiliar stimuli, obsessive barking, and aggression.
