Board and Train
Drop your dog off with a trainer for boarding for 3 weeks to several months. During this period, your dog receives training from the trainer. You will be expected to follow up with several 1:1 lessons. If you don't continue the work, it won't stick.
We almost exclusively do 1:1 lessons, and rarely take board and trains. Please contact us if you feel a board and train is best for you, we take them on a case-by-case basis. If we're full, we recommend Dayna with Cognitive K9 or Andy with AMPSK9

Dogs thrive in clarity and structure. For many, this includes a "job" for the dog. This can be things like agility, scentwork, dock diving, bite training, sport work, hiking, camping, and more.

In-Person Only
AKC Temperament Test (ATT) Judge
The ATT tests how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, biddable and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time.

AKC Trick Dog Evaluator Judge
The ATT tests how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, biddable and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time.
In-Person Only
I'm not sure how much or what type of training I need.
All good! See common timelines below to help you decide. And remember, commands can look different to every person. If you want a looser heel, it'll take less time to teach. A tighter heel needs more time. We'll always discuss goals and expectations at our first meet.
If you still have questions, ask us!
It's important to note that every dog and person is different. It might take a shorter or longer period of time for you and your dog to get the hang of things. These timelines are also based on folks who do their homework. If you don't continue what we teach, the changes won't stick no matter how much training you do!
LIFESAVING COMMANDS
10-Pack
"Stay" and "Let's Go" are the single most important commands you can teach your dog. These commands can mean the difference between life and death. We can teach basics quickly, but we HIGHLY recommend working on these for a long period of time for best results.
BASIC COMMANDS
5-Pack
Sit, down, walking well on a leash, hup, off, load up in a car, entering and leaving a kennel calmly.
TRICK COMMANDS
5-Pack
Sit pretty, wave, roll over, stand, back up, front, heel, weave.
SEPARATION ANXIETY
10-Pack
Getting the dog(s) comfortable with you leaving.
AGGRESSION & REACTIVITY
10-Pack
These issues can take several weeks or even months to resolve. We'll spend the first session discussing options and expectations. A board and train might be a better option here.
SCENT DETECTION INTRO
Join one of our group classes
Intro to scent detection (teaching your dog to find things, and see our group here). Expect intermediate scent detection to take 4–8 weeks, and expert scent detection to be your whole entire life. Not all dogs are good fits for scent detection.
SERVICE DOG
16 weeks minimum (contact us)
We will do a single session evaluation first to determine if you and your dog are a good fit for service work. Not all dogs are good fits for service work.
